Volunteers are always needed and warmly welcomed to help in all areas of Ventnor Botanic Garden. A regular group meets on Wednesdays between lOam and 1pm to work outside - weather permitting and under supervision. Other times to suit you can be negotiated with the Garden Staff and tools are provided. You can also work in the potting shed or help in propagation for the plant sales area. Depending on weather conditions, and the time of year, volunteers are needed for seed collecting, cleaning and packaging. |

All age groups are valued and our oldest volunteer is 93 years of age. Not only do you work in beautiful surroundings but there is great pride and satisfaction in volunteering and a chance to learn much more about the diversity of plants and their benefits from the Staff and other knowledgeable gardeners. Other opportunities within the Friends include organising and participating in events, membership of the Committee, fundraising and marketing. The magazine Ventnorensis is edited by Jane Cheverton. This website was designed and constructed for the Friends on a purely voluntary basis by Rob Withers. For more information contact the Hon. Secretary 01983 292107 |
